Navi Buchal: Director

Navi is a writer, filmmaker, and good citizen in Nachlaot. He found out he was Jewish six years ago, after having researched near-death experiences and a federal study of DMT-induced prophetic experiences that seemed to connect with Jewish teachings around prophecy.

His first invitation to a Jewish experience was not anything he expected. But he learned from the 18th-century book Derech HaShem that the essence of the soul leaves the body during sleep and travels around. He then came to Israel, where he helped Rabbi Ken Spiro of Aish HaTorah make a film for his book Destiny, about the history of the Jewish people.

Whenever he sees a need, Navi reaches out to help people. After October 7, he was asked by the government to archive, using holographs, massacre sites. When the war started, he helped out families in need. Now he is cooking soup, creating informational signage, and supporting our beit knesset (synagogue) with a new program to help people find meals to join for Shabbat.

See his video work at his website Illustrious Productions.
