Dvorah Rahel: Photographer and Aspiring Actress

I would add - Visionary

Dvorah/Rahel and I met at my acting class in Tel Aviv — only to later discover that we live around the corner from each other!

She was born in the oldest city in the USA (founded in 1565,) where she happened to work as a tour guide (and therefore knows a lot about it.) She gave a beautiful description of its flora and fauna. In our interview, she shared about her family connection to Sammy Davis, Jr., her first exposure to Sukkot in her 30s, and how that brought her to study at a Chabad seminary. We discussed Midreshet B’erot Bat Ayin, its Rebbetzin, Chana Bracha Siegelbaum, and one of her books, The Seven Fruits of the Land of Israel: with their Mystical & Medicinal Properties. We also discussed her experience shepherding, her vision for Binyan Clal, why people should grow their own food, and why smoking only helps our enemies. To top it all off, we learned that play leads to innovation and new ideas.

Excuse our voices — this is my sick voice, and my guest sounds younger than she is (just like she looks.)

Bonus offer to my subscribers: She’s working on her photography portfolio and is offering a free photo shoot for anyone who is interested.
